Mormon Happy Hour celebrated Mormonism at the 2018 SLC Sunstone Symposium this past weekend. Colleen met many of you, and has collected over 20 interviews to share! But this first one is the most important! Please join with Colleen in supporting Sam Young and his current action to Protect LDS Children. Sam has begun a Hunger Strike outside the Church Office building in downtown SLC. He will be inviting one specific apostle to sit down with him each night of his Hunger Strike to listen to the concerns of those affected by the harm that can occur during Bishop Worthiness Interviews. Please share his current plans! Please protect LDS Children! No More One-on-One Interviews. No Sexually Explicit Questions, EVER!

She welcomes Blaire Ostler, a bisexual active Mormon wife and mother who shares with us her reactions to Dan Reynolds and his recent interviews with Ellen, Trevor Noah, and his documentary Believer. She discusses allyship, the intricacies involved, and what she hopes for the future. Blaire is an absolute delight! Don’t miss Mason Proxy, a blogger who has created Mormon Astrological Signs that are hilarious and uniquely Mormon! Videos of these guests are available on Patreon.
The Angels on Fire are joined once again by friend of the show Julian Jesse who shares his insight this week on the LDS Church hosting a Celebration of the Ban Lift on Blacks and the Priesthood. The Angels on Fire have strong feelings regarding the LDS First Presidency’s World Tour message to the people of Kenya. Colleen and Miranda are joined by a friend of the show, Julian Jesse, who shares his experiences, research, and feelings regarding Nelson’s remarks in Africa. Last week, Lesley Butterfield wrote an Op-Ed published in the Sunday edition of the Salt Lake Tribune. In it, she powerfully calls the LDS Patriarchy out for their lack of appropriate response to the pervasive spiritual abuses within The Church. She joins the Angels on Fire once again to discuss her activism to bring awareness to ecclesiastical abuse, especially through her own website, Unrighteous Dominion. Miranda brings a marvelous new Post-Mormon Life Pro-Tip topic to the show, SEX! We have opened a can of misguided worms, so consider this Part 1 of a lively discussion regarding Mormon Sex Myths! Bonus material is up on our Patreon page!
The Angels on Fire are thrilled to hear the story of Crystal Legionaires, the brave girl who raised her voice and shouted “Stop Protecting Sexual Predators” during the Solemn Assembly of LDS General Conference. Join us in listening to her thoughts beforehand, what happened in the moment, and all the details of the aftermath. Crystal is firm and powerful in her message and her intent. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about her and her activism. The complete video and bonus audio material are available on our Patreon page.
The Angels on Fire tackle the overwhelming topic of Joseph L. Bishop, Former President of Provo MTC and his confession of multiple instances of sexual assault. Two guests join the episode to provide their perspectives on the most important issues, Reddit u/relevantlife, and advocate/activist Lesley Butterfield. Don’t worry, we take lots of intermission breaks to help us through the tough discussions. We even have a new Instagram account, yet again, @book_of_moron_stories. Video of the episode and extended interviews with our guests can be found on our Patreon page.
