MHH66: Sunstone Event Spotlights

This week I have three Sunstone interviews for you! First, John Hamer and I discuss his involvement in the Community of Christ, which used to be the RLDS church. Next, David Dixon, who is a foundational member of the Phoenix area ExMormon groups, discusses his own physical and mental recovery from Mormonism, and Kent Belliston tells a few fascinating stories of his experience working in the Church Office Building in SLC in the 90s. I hope you love these stories as much as I did! Sunstone is so fun! I’d love to meet you at Sunstone this summer, July 30th to August 3rd. If you’ve never attended, it is a fabulous experience, often called MormonCon. All the scholars, names, and personalities you’ve heard of come to share their unique and amazing work and ideas. Hope I see you there! As always, head on over to Patreon/Mormon Happy Hour to watch the full-length videos of these interviews.

MHH59: What We’d Love to Hear From Believers

Claudine Gallacher is a life coach who specializes in the unique needs of those transitioning away from Mormonism. Recently, Claudine posed the question on Social Media “What would you like to hear from your TBM or true believing Mormon friends and family?” She received an outpouring of thoughtful responses from Post-Mormons who were yearning to hear so many unique things from their believing loved ones. Join us for a thoughtful journey through relationships, desires, and deep introspection. If you’d prefer to watch Claudine’s chat instead of listening, please visit Mormon Happy Hour on Patreon!

MHH32: An Evening with the Drunk Mormon Podcast

Mormon Happy Hour pairs up for a glorious evening with the Drunk Mormon Podcast. We meet up together, make cocktails and tell our Mormon Exit stories and how we both came to create a Mormon based podcast. We reclaim our Mormon Identity and share how we tackled so many faith crisis dilemmas. Does God exist? Is there a higher power? How do we explain “spiritual” experiences from our  Mormon childhood? What do autonomy and authenticity look and feel like? Then we wrap things up with their favorite Drunk Mormon episodes and their favorite featured drinks! Mmmm, you gotta try these!
